Exminster FireworksNovember 4th. Half a dozen members gathered together to visit the Exminster Scout's Fireworks Party. With it not being far from our host's home we were able to take a stroll to the event. The display was excellent with plenty of Wooshes and Bangs.     After the fireworks we returned to our host's home where we were treated to hot soup and rolls, followed by jacket potatoes, cheese and biscuits, cake and another cuppa to finish with. All in all a veritable feast.   Between courses our host produced a fireworks quiz A great night out. Skittles with Plymouth IVC. In place of our annual inter club quiz Exeter IVC invited Plymouth IVC to the Cat and Fiddle for a skittles night. Nine Plymouth members joined us for the evening. Exeter also had a team of nine together with a few supporters so all in all it was an evening of fun and sociability. A refreshing change from the usual quiz it gave members from both clubs the opportunity to relax and socialise together   (above) Members getting ready for the off.   (above) Inter group chatting. We also had a surprise for one of our Exeter members whose birthday was the following day . A big chocolate cake was bought to her table and we all sang "Happy Birthday". Made her cry (well my singing never was up to much).     "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU" November 13th Birthday Meal at the Red Lion Broadclyst. Nearly thirty of us gathered to celebrate a member's birthday with a meal at the Red Lion. November is a busy month for birthdays in Exeter IVC.     Food, wine and ice cream a plenty. Just what you need for a birthday party. Oh yeh and good company. (Plenty of that). |
